Partial wake lock / Awake time 100%

Hi :D

Alllrighty. So. I have a vanilla Hero. Since I bought it (around 2 months ago), the awake time has NEVER been under 100%. I installed the Modaco 2.9 ROM yesterday (which I highly recommend; my Hero is now much faster:)) and it's STILL 100%.

Spare parts tell me that the culprit appears to be 'Android system'. :confused:

Any ideas? I'd like to reduce my wake time if it's at all possible. :o

I'm aware of the messaging app/dialer issue; that's not what this is, since I'm using CHOMP sms and it's still an issue.
 
Do you have WaveSecure installed on your phone? If so - updating WaveSecure will solve this issue.

It's possible, but I don't know what app it would be. :-/
Oh, and no, no Wavesecure, that was an add on.
 
Try using a task killer app and killing groups of processes. If after killing a group, your phone can go to sleep properly, you know the culpret is in that group and you can start narrowing it down.
 
I've come across a lot of people with Heroes with an awake time of 100%, thought it might be an idea to have a list of apps that prevent the phone from sleeping.

We know the stock messaging app can do it, any others?
 
I can add a countdown widget to the list. I had one on my homescreen until today; after a reflash, it kept force closing. So I removed it and since then my awake time has been steadily dropping.
