Root Partition Confirm

How can I tell if my sd partioning worked correctly. According to SD & Phone storage in settings my internal storage available is 105MB but I don't know if the SD has partitioned successfully.

Any app that can confirm if I have a ext3 partition installed?

Has the reported size of your SD card decreased? That value is really the size of the fat32 partition, so should reduce by the size of the ext partition.

Otherwise, Quick System Info is my preferred app for checking this, but it doesn't report the size of the ext partition accurately until you have an a2sd+ script or ROM installed.

Thanks for the replies guys but I re-installed Titanium Backup from a backup and it's reporting that it has partitioned. :D

8gb Sandisk SDHC. Titanium backup manager shows:

Internal: 154MB (109MB) free
SD Card: 7.42GB (7.42GB Free)
SD Card (a2sd): 480MB (389MB free)

:D

Happy now, and I had to resort to the ROM Manager to partition the card because I just couldn't get GParted to work.

Will all apps now be saved automatically to SD, therefore cutting down on trace data files taking up space on the internal? Do I have to do anything differently now that I've partitioned? (Yep total NOOB)

Just downloaded Quick System Info and that's showing A2SD storage too. Figures not far off what Titanium estimated.

Backup first (nandroid and Titanium, plus any others you like).

Then in CWM select "full wipe/factory reset" from the main menu.

And for the earlier question, as long as your ROM supports a2sd+ you don't need to do anything, except check that your default install location is set to "internal".
