I got in on the GIVING code that worked over the weekend to pickup a new Motorola Triumph which arrived today. It will be replacing my ailing Samsung Intercept which, while a good introduction to Android in the beginning, is now making me want to tear my hair out.
Simple question: do I need to partition the 4GB sd card that I bought specifically for my Intercept and will now be using in my Triumph? I've already backed up the card so erasing the information on it is not an issue, and it is partitioned for my Intercept so I know it should be wiped anyway for use on my Triumph.
I've already got the latest CWM and CM7 ready for install on my fresh Triumph, I'm just wondering the best way to go about moving my SD card from the Intercept to the Triumph.
Is it as simple as putting my SD card into the Triumph, booting into CWM and formatting it from in there, before booting into CM7 for the first time? Do I need to partition at the same time or is that not even required on Gingerbread (I'm coming from rooted Froyo on my Intercept).
Just trying to make sure I don't accidentally brick or anything like that, so sorry for what I'm sure is a newbie question.
