Help partitioning question.

Hey all, love the site. i generally come here looking for answers but broke down and registered. Okay heres the deal, I have rooted and all the fun stuff working fine without a hitch. UNTIL....

I tried (note tried) to Partition my Sd Card (using Minitool) for the Link2SD and more app2sd freedom and also with hopes of speeding up the device if i could keep the memory free. anyway, all seemed well. Link2sd working fine however everthing is still being downloaded to the phones internal memory rather than the sd card. If memory serves i set the Fat32 around 3G, ext3 about 500mb and swap file partition around 200MB

BIGGER problem, now all my files and folders are 'symbols' when i link my USB. i cant read or access any files via computer.

I do have a back-up on PC, but i need to re-install 30+ apps with that backup (but at least android system is there).

I downloaded the App Freespace, and it does not indicate any partitioning at all, only shows my SD card. Downloaded Swapper and only partition listed is my FAT partition.

I'm assuming i need to start over again, i guess my first question would be Is there a way to back up everything on the phone now (even with symbols and crap) so i can drop it back on later without re-downloading 6789987408 things??? and bigger question........ WTF did i do wrong?

I have used Titanium Backup for back up everything, however when i reload the memorycard from my "saved/backed up" memory card on my laptop there are several apps that dont load. TB being one of them. part of why i'm looking for any hopeful method to backup what i have now

Got it working again. i had unmounted the sd card. deleted it, and formatted it. re-partitioned it and loaded card. working fine now though i still need to learn how to move things entirely onto the sd card and free up memory but thats a question for another day. (on link2sd what is write script or whatever those options are at the bottom?) thanks to all who read and thought to try and help
