Passion before Christmas, maybe Black Friday...

yeah i am an owner of the droid, but the slider mechanism is already loose after two weeks, and the keyboard isnt that great in the first place....so i'm looking to return the droid and get the passion, i just dont want to wait!!! :p
 
So definitely not coming out before Black Friday ... it's only 1 week from today and not even a mention of the passion's existence outside of the rumormill. :(

The fastest I've seen a phone go from FCC approval to retail launch is 2 weeks. It is possible (though not probable) no one noticed the FCC approval, but I think the mid december launch date is more probable.

Black Friday is certainly out of the question, and with absolutely no news coming out at all Im starting to doubt December also. The longer this continues like this the more concerned I get we wont see a pre-xmas release. I could be wrong, and I certainly hope that I am, but if we were inside of a month away I would think we would have at least a second photo of the device. At this point we have 1 photo of the device, and we dont even know what size screen it has.

I guess Im just getting frustrated with myself for passing on the droid and waiting for this phone. Problem is the longer I wait the more I want to wait the whole thing out. I keep telling myself, "Ive waited this long, a little longer wont hurt".
 
My patience is definitely being tested too, but if the rumored specs on the phone are true...IT WILL BE WORTH THE WAIT, and the Droid won't compare. Just imagine the envy you'll have when you're stuck with the Droid when the Passion gets released. If anything, wait till early December for more news to come out and if the Passion does come out in January you'll still be in the return period window. Just my two cents.

Nice find. Looks promising since the page is specifically talking about smartphones. I like that the date range is FROM early December to mid December instead of starting from mid December - chance of it coming out earlier :).
 
Let's hope they mean device(s) as we now know the omnia 2 will be coming out December 2. Which also could be a phone worth getting, only to return it in 28 days, if we have to wait.
 
With the Omnia II being released on 12/2, and official word and documentation out this week, I would imagine that we should see news on the Passion within the next two weeks. Two weeks from 12/2 puts us squarely in the middle of December, which is where the rumor mill has been saying.
 
Not that it's any surprise, but I swung by a Verizon store on my way back from an errand and looked in through the window and saw no Droid Passion to be found. Maybe FCC Black Friday will bring something... (wishful thinking).
 
Yea, I just woke up and 1st thing I did was go to Verizon.com and no HTC Passion love there either. Two more weeks of waiting until the Dec 11th possible launch. I agree, lets hope there's some FCC news soon.
 
I as well went by my local Verizon, No Passion on display. Not really surprised.
The Motorola Droid Advertising seems to have shifted into overdrive...
Especially with the whole Motorola Droid Does Times Square Promotion.
Seems like Verizon wants to milk the Moto Droid, and I for one, can't blame them.

"Hurry Up & Waiting" for the Dragon/Passion still.
