I tried hooking up a coworker's Rhyme to a computer to try out the pc to phone internet passthrough but it won't work. I installed all the drivers that it requested.
The phone does sorta walk you through as to what to do as soon as you plug it in (which is nice) but it's a little vague about how to solve it.
-My PC is networked to our Cable Modem. So the ppp thing can't be the problem.
-I shut off the firewall.
-I installed the HTC Sync. It says there are no devices.
I wonder what could be the problem.
On top of it, the HTC Sync and the Verizon manager start at startup in the sys tray. Sheesh.
*to clarify, I want to use my PC's internet so that the phone doesn't use up it's 3g data (which is limited to 2GB).
