Password App

I was wondering if there is an App that automatically turns your password ON to lock your phone using your password at times you.
For instance when you get to work at 8am it automically enables and makes you use your password to unlock your phone. Then when you leave say at 5pm it disables and you can you use your phone and not need the password.

I work in a locked area where you can't bring your phone in. I hate to use my password all the time when I'm out or at home but at our work we have to leave our phones on a shelf where anyone could 'potentially' do what they like with it. It's a pretty trustworthy place and situation but I would still like to have it automatically password locked when its not in my posession at work then be able to have it automatically disable the password lock feature at the end of the work day. Hope I wasn't tooooo confusing.

Oh how we get lazy in life and try to get our Droids to do it all. DROID DOES!!

Anyway, hope there's something like that out there.

Thanks in advance

Here's a simple option to try....not exactly what you wanted, but it may work for you as well as it does for me.

Look for a *free* widget in the Market called 'No Lock'. It allows you to leave the lock (pin, pass, pattern, whatever) intact, while turning the lock function on or off by simply tapping the widget.

Arrive at work, tap the widget, and the phone will lock all day when the screen times out. Get home, tap the widget . . . . you get the idea.

Never mind. This IS a great app, but I misread your OP.

There's a great app called Unlock with Wifi that does what you want. Basically, you can designate any Wifi network as "Home". (I also have my office Wifi set up as "Home"). Once your phone detects this Wifi, it stays unlocked until you leave the Wifi signal.

This app does require you to unlock when you first get home, but after that it stays unlock.

My wife and I are using it, and it works really well.
