My husband's Elite phone has locked it's self and wants a password. He has never set one up. In fact, we have not even activated the phone yet. We were going to do this tomorrow. Anyone have a solution to this problem?
Thanks!!!

Factory reset from recovery.... You WILL lose everything you have installed on phone and it will be like when you bought it

Power off phone, pull battery if you have to

While holding volume up and down buttons press and hold power button

one you see lg logo release power but continue to hold both volume buttons untill you get into stock recovery

Use volume buttons to scroll down to wipe data factory reset

Press menu button to select (2nd from left)

Scroll to select yes to confirm and selet with menu button

After phone wipes scroll and select reboot now

Phone will reboot and password will be gone. If not something is screwy with phone and you may need to return it

Thank you it worked! He had nothing on it yet but his contacts. It's weird that it would do this without us even having activated the account yet. LOL Thank you so much.

Activating the device has nothing to do with the lock, that is set up in the settings menu -> location & security settings -> Screen lock
