Help Password Reset

I got a tablet as a gift about two-three years ago. It's a Coby Kryros MID9742. I never really used it back then but I had a password set like I did to all my devices. Now I've recently found it and cannot for the life of me remember what the password was. I have no problem with resetting the tablet itself but the only option I've found to make this possible is through the settings, which obviously I can't get to. And I'm not sure if it's possible to reset the password. Any help with this would be great

Yes I tried this and it does not work

It still won't reset, just turns on and goes back to the locked screen.

Did you try to go into the Recovery to do a factory Reset? A note this will delete info and setted passwords!

Do you know if the tablet uses Android device Manager? If so, you might be able to log in online and set a new password.
