Help Passwords disappears after typing

I have an Droid Incredible 2 and I change my gmail password on my PC. On my phone I get a sign in error because it is looking for the new password. I enter it and it doesn't show up. Nothing not even the asterisks. I tried to sign into Facebook on the phone and get the same issue. How do I get the phone to recognize that I am entering a password.

I rebooted a few times and finally I was able to type my password. All fixed.
