Root Pattern Lock on GingerVillain

Does anyone know if it's possible to have a lock screen AND pattern lock on GingerVillain.

It seems that if I select pattern lock then I don't get the lock screen first (it just goes straight to pattern lock when you press the power button), but if I use a PIN then I do get the lock screen first.

I prefer using pattern lock over PIN, but I also want the lock screen so I can access the Music Player without having to unlock the screen first.

I was able to have a lock screen and pattern lock with Sense, but not on this one it seems. Anyone know if it's possible ?

Having exactly the same problem!! There was also setting to delay how long after screen goes off before pattern lock becomes active, I also cannot find a setting for this either!

Might have to revert to using a PIN.

Not on the stock lock screen you may be able to with lockscreen widget app from the market.
