pay as you go sims

If I have a unlocked att atrix 2 and put a att pay as you go sims card , with data, will I be able to use the phone with no problems of any of the features of the phone?

Anyone tried this?

If its like my moto Bravo, you need not unlock it. Just got an atrixII, going to get card later this week.
 
I am currently using the ATRIX on a gophone sim and everthing works fine. Bought an ATRIX 2 and assumed it would work, the only things that do work is voice and basic text nothing to do with data will function off of wifi. I spoke with at&t tech support and with gophone persons (3 of them) they cannot provision pre paid sim to allow data to work. Hope this helps anybody else thinking of buying the ATRIX 2 and using pre paid with it..All things are subject to change
 
I ended up choosing samsung galaxy s2 att, I am using pay as you go sim in it, had to go in and change apn setting for my data to work. But now I can use wifi or data, which ever I need, depending on where I'm at. The att techs, said data wouldn't work, because phone is 4g and my payg sims is 3g, hence, the reason I needed to change setting.
Someone in another thread had the setting i needed.
I am on att,text, data, everything works. Are you on att?
Maybe you need to google and see if there is a setting to change in your atrix 2.
 
Glad to hear you got it to work..Yes I have AT&T. Your post raised curiosity a google search and now data and mms is going :D As I said things change it just took another to find the way..Thank You

i have t mobile Galaxy s2 will it work with the pay as u go plan from at&t :)
 
AT&T disables data on smartphones on $50 unlimited plan. We had to switch to Straight Talk's $45 unlimited plan to get data to work on my Atrix phones and my wife's droid razr.
