Help Pc can't see nexus

Hello

I have a win 8.1 machine and recently when I plug my nexus in the machine registers it but I can't see it in explorer to add files.

I can change it to ptp and add then but only to the camera folder.

It used to work fine so I don't know what has changed

Any suggestions?

If you find out let me know. I have the same dilemma.

I use the WUG tool kit and it does let me unlock, add a custom recovery and root the tablet but windows will not let me see the file system just like you. I get around things by using the free apps "BOX" and "File Manager" to both upload and move things around in the file structure. I am using the WiFi version but have "Grove IP Lite" so I can make phone calls (Internet Protocol) over WiFi for free.
I currently am using Dirty Unicorns as a rom and TWRP as my recovery.

I had that problem, I went through the steps in wugfresh to remove and reinstall drivers and it worked. Took 2 tries though, not sure why but the 2nd try worked

It's funny. On my XP computer, I have to have USB Debugging turned off for the N7 to show up. On my Win 8 computer, I have to have USB Debugging turned on for the N7 to show up. But, hey, it works!

I had a problem today with my nexus 5
It had been working fine then plugged it in heard the usual jingle noise but nothing appeared in my computer

Device manager had it listed as an Acer device ??????

Anyway
Here's how I fixed it

Device manager
Highlight my now Acer device
Update driver
Manually select a driver
Use android abd our of the choice of two

Fixed

For some reason the google driver is not signed by Microsoft and a recent update to windows changed it

If you need pictures etc of how I did it let me know (I'm crap at explaining stuff)
