Help PC Charging using usb3 + gigabyte 3x USB power

Hi,

I am using gigabyte 3x power motherboard which should give the USB ports 3x the normal power (0.5->1.5 for USB2 and 0.9->2.7 Amps for USB3)
I am also using the USB3 charging cable that came with the device.

I am sensing that it is still slower than the 2 Amps stock charger.
It should be able to charge just as fast considering it is connected to the USB3 Case Port connected to the USB3 Port on the motherboard with that feature using the USB3 cable that came with the device. Also if it makes any difference the driver for on/off charging is installed.

Is there a method or an app that shows me how much current my device is currently sucking in?

Thanks.

1) The driver makes no difference.

2) There's a method - it's called using an ammeter.

Going by the picture, I would say that the problem is that the device is still connecting to the computer in file transfer mode in some fashion or another. If that's the case, then being 20% slower than the stock wall charger is quite a feat. If you changed the mode to "Fast charge/no sync" as shown in the picture, I believe that will give you the charging time you're looking for. ;)

I have gigabyte z77x-ud5h...the tool on that mobo is just removing the power management on the USB root thus delivering full amps to USB ports. The mobo does have an enhance USB power system, but charge with stock charger is just super efficient

Tried it and not much v different than with sync on.
Armirole, yes that is it indeed but the USB 3 port on these motherboards should be able to provide more than the stock charger so should be at least the same.
