I have the Droid Bionic with JB. When I connect my phone to my computer, I don't ge the option fo PC Mode. I only get USB Mass Storage, Camera Mode, and Media file. How come I can't get PC Mode, Charge Only...
Those options were apparently removed when ICS was released.
What issue are you trying to address? There were only two in previous discussions ...
(1) Accessing SD cards from Bionic when connected to PC ... don't use Mass Storage mode ... you probably want Media device (MTP) mode ...
In Mass Storage you charge the Bionic and you can transfer files. The PC has exclusive control of the Bionic cards and the cards cannot be accessed from the Bionic.
In Media device (MTP) you charge the Bionic and can transfer files. The PC has shared control of the Bionic cards and the cards can be accessed from the Bionic.
In Camera (PTP) you charge the Bionic and can transfer image files. The PC has shared control of the Bionic cards and the cards can be accessed from the Bionic.
(2) Some organizations prohibited connecting a phone to one of their PCs unless data transfer is disabled. The only solution for this is to get a second OEM wall charger and cable and leave them at the office.
I'm trying to get it to connect to radiocomm so I can switch it over to GSM so I can use it in Afghan. I was able to use *#*#4636#*#* to manually switch to Global, but without getting radiocomm to read / write my phone I can't change the config string.
I believe at one point I was able to switch from PC Mode to Charge Only Mode and Mass Storage, but that was a while ago and only a couple times. Now the only modes I get is Mass Storage / MTP / PTP; which I don't think MTP is the same as PC Mode.
