PC Software for Desire

DC1

Newbie
I wondered if HTC or anyone was planning any software to use with the Desire. The supplied SYNC is VERY basic compared to what I'm used to with SE. For example, having the phone syncd and sending texts etc from a PC editor, updating the calendar and contacts all via the PC keyboard.

As good as the smartphones are for editing I'd spend three times as long writing [this] on it rather than the keyboard I'm using now.

I'm missing the functionality I had before the Desire.

Any thoughts?
In the know plans expected?

My guess is probably not. The htc sync software seems pretty useless to me.

I use google docs, calendar and it all syncs automatically and quietly for me.

I use Media Monkey for all my Music syncing needs and buy all my tunes from Amazon MP3. :)

heh. Missing sync is still around? I remember that from my pocket pc days.

It was a highly recommended program in those days, but I never used it because I thought it too expensive.

It's funny, I'm seeing quite a few old names from my ppc days now that I have an android.

Hmmm... once the novelty wears off you kinda start asking yourself how much style and how much substance?

You can edit your calendar/contacts in google and sync to your google account over the air.

Text messages from the PC seems to be a limitation.
