PC Software for the Eris

Lazarus

Newbie
Not quite sure if this is possible or not but is there any software for the computer that I can like enter contacts in and then hook the phone up to the computer and it'll update my contacts?

OK. I'll try the gmail thing. I did come across PC Suite though which is an "android phone manager" from pandaapp. I never heard of pandaapp so I searched on the forum and saw a couple posts about Panda Home so I'm guessing its a legit company? Anyone ever use PC Suite?

This is some features: Back up and import contacts, back up and import call logs and SMS records, set the ringtones, themes and wallpapers, manage the system, memory and registry of the phone, install and uninstall software, manage schedule…you can manage all functions and settings on your smart phone.

I added the contacts to my gmail account via the computer. How do I get the phone to sync so the contacts go onto the phone?

press menu, settings, accounts, your gmail account, and hit sync contacts.

Ok. I did that and I got an error at the bottom saying "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly."

Edit: Nevermind. I had the wrong password in and it couldn't access the account. I figured that out when I checked the status.

Awesome. Thanks for the help guys.

How I'm having a problem with the phone not saving speed dial numbers I assign to the contacts. I go through and assign the number and the speed dial I want and hit save but when I go back in it still says "Not Assigned" I'm following the directions in the manual.

Give this a shot:

Got this from another forum:

Clearing application data for the following two fixed this problem WITHOUT factory reset (note you lose contacts and call history).

Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>Dialer
Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>Contacts Storage
