Help PC Suite and Phone drivers

I've loaded the drivers and software off the LG website, installed as per the instructions. However the PC suite software just sits there looking for the phone without success. The computer can see the USB part of the phone as removable drives, and the phone shows there is a USB connection. But the suite software doesn't link up at all. Any advise would be great :D

Thanks for the quick reply, i've tried this LG Air Sync link you sent me which is for pc suiteVI, this hasn't work either. Is it worth me un-installing all LG software and drivers, and then try this software on its own?

LG Air Sync link , works great for me, I did unistall the older software first and the drivers, the LG Air Sync link software installs all the drivers you will need, you should have no problems, I am using Windows 7 x64

Do i have to set the phone in a sync or data transfer mode? Is there software i need to add to the phone. The PC suite software still isn't seeing the phone.

Thanks for all the advise so far, still no luck for me though. Maybe its a vista thing, but the sync software just doesn't see the phone at all. I'll get onto LG and see what they say. If anyone can think of anything else to try please let me know. Thanks guys

this is for the updater if thats the issue ure having, if not ignore this.

Turn off the phone and remove the sd card turn back on and plug in it should work, the sd card needs to be removed the steps are shown here Mobile Phone Support

Thanks for the reply. The phone software update package works fine, but i can't get the pc suite software to connect to the phone. The computer sees it as a disk drive, but thats it.

Connect your mobile with USB, Drag the Notification Bar.. Select USB Connected & press the ''Mount'' Button... & after you are done then same way drag-select & Press ''Turn off Mass Storage''...

I can not see the downloaded apps from the android market in my H:/ after doing the stuff you suggested. How to transfer the contents from phone memory to micro sd card?

I can not see the downloaded apps from the android market in my H:/ after doing the stuff you suggested. How to transfer the contents from phone memory to micro sd card?

The .apk of the Apps you downloaded are in phone memory... To copy them firstly you need to be rooted (Check this thread: http://androidforums.com/lg-optimus...-gt540-running-2-1-now-everyone-can-root.html ) Then you need Root Explorer (Check the 2nd post of this thread: http://androidforums.com/lg-optimus-gt540/238374-youtube-v2-0-26-android-2-1-a.html )

Now, open Root Explorer... Find a folder called ''cache'' & go inside... There you'll see files named 'downloadfile.apk', 'downloadfile-1.apk' etc... Now, you need to copy them one by one... Long press the file you want to copy, Select 'Copy', press back(Hardware button), go to 'sdcard' and Paste it anywhere you want... :D

NOTE: Use Root Explorer with caution... Don't delete, replace or do anything that you don't know about...
