Help PC will not detect my note 2

Hello Everyone,

I have samsung note2. I have problems connecting my phone to my windows 7 PC.

I am trying to do is transfer few songs from my PC to note2. I have done this before from same computer and it has worked.

This morning when I connected my phone to my PC it starts chraging and shows hardware has been detected and ready to use. But when I check in my computer nothing shows up(external drive)

Any ideas what can be wrong and how I can fix it?

When I connect my N2, I have to pull down my notification bar and tap on connection button (I don't remember what it's called off the top of my head) and it will open a window with the options "Media Device (MTP)" and "Camera (PTP)" and I have to select "Media Device (MTP)."

on windows 8 i haft to reinstall the drivers alot. other then that i havent found a fix.
try that too

Thanks for your reply. Can you find and let me know what is that options under notification bar. I tried to look for that options couldn't find it.
