Root PDAnet installation?

I'm trying to root my nexus s but i cannot get pdanet drivers to install. I am using the 64 bit driver and when it is about ready to finish installing, it detects htc sense on the computer and won't let me install it without being in htc compatable mode. I used to have an htc evo but i deleted htc sync and htc sync setups but i still cannot get passed this. Any ideas?

try deleting anything htc related from your pc (system controls > programs). after that download "USBDevier" to remove unused HTC drivers. had to do that to be able to install drivers for my ns as well (though it weren't htc, but samsung ones).
