PDAnet

PDANET is the greatest App. ever for simple connect at 3g broadband levels. If you have the time, a router and a USB data link cable, you can have very fast net and only pay $30.00 once, instead of 30-100 dollars a month. every license after first $30 one is $15. Also you can use it in 3 ways, 1-USB data link (best) 2-BLUETOOTH (speed is good, havent worked with BT MUCH on this app.)and 3-wireless hotspot ( great if you have best signal, no interferance (such as your whole desktop is wireless mouse board etc.) PDANET IS EXTREMELY WORTH IT!!!
I would have paid anything for it if i knew it was availible NO ONE IS BETTER. I've done and tryed every single one and root and this is 1-2-3-on.and yes after 30 days free trial you will loss ur https ability. thier website is junefabrics.com

-I use PDAnet at home and it works as advertised

-Paid for full version ($16 on sale right now)

-My 3G is slow. I'm only getting 0.4-0.6 Mbps down and 0.2-0.3 Mbps up. No 4G available in my area yet. Its functional for email and FB. I can't watch videos unless I give them a lot of time to load before I start viewing them.

-I get about the same speed tethered as I do using the phone by itself

Hi folks,

A Total Newbie in this Tethering Business ... been reading and I am a bit confused would REALLY appreciate if anyone can chime in ...

I have downloaded PDANet 1.12, the thing is I have the following Q's ...

Q1: Should I install the 32-Bit version or the 64-Bit version?

The reason that I ask is because my Gateway Laptop has Vista Home Premium, 64-Bit!

Q2: If I install the 32-Bit on 64-bit laptop ... would it work?

Q3: Would 64-Bit be better than the 32-Bit ... perofrmance wise?

Q4: how do I install the PDANet 1.12 without using the Market APP ... to get the PDANet on my Samsung Facinate Cell!?!?

Thanks,

G! :)

Some 32bit software doesn't work on a 64bit OS. For instance Adobe Flash doesn't work on IE64 (though there is a beta). You have to use IE32. Lots of browser plugins don't work with IE64. OS drivers can be the same way.

Hi Lars,

Thanks for your Help & Reply ... so I assume basically you are leaning toward 32-Bit ... which I was too.

Thanks again!

G! :)

Um, no. My point is that 32bit driver software doesn't often work on a 64bit machine. Use the software that is the closest match to your OS.

Use the 64bit driver.
