Help PDF Files on Home Screen

thegekko

Newbie
All,
I have transferred some PDF files over the DX. I can load the files from Astro just fine and they look good. I'm using the Adobe Reader app. What I would like to do is to put certain PDF files into separate folders on my home screen so I can just open the folder and tap on the PDF to launch it. I think its possible, but I cant seem to figure it out. BTW...I have Folder Organizer loaded also.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thnx

cant you just long press on the home screen and when the box pops up to place widgets and stuff like that there is a folder option. Seems you just make a folder and then place your pdf files in them?

Thanks..I see the folder selection...I selected "New Folder"...It appeared on my desktop, but I dont know how to put the file from the SD card into the folder on my desktop. Is there a copy/paste command somewhere?

1. put a new folder on your homescreen (long press, folder, new folder)
2. long press, shortcut, Astro
3. choose file, rename it if you want
4. it will appear on your homescreen, just drag it into the new folder you created in step 1

voila!

I have to admit, this whole smartphone/android thing takes a lot of getting used to, mostly through trial and error, but between the phone itself and the apps, you can pretty much do anything you can imagine. And of course, this forum doesn't hurt either! :)
