I have a Galaxy Tab 2.7.0 (GT-P3110) recently updated to Android 4.2.2. I have also updated my PC to Win 8 64 bit (not Win 8.1).
I have just noticed that when I connect the tablet to the PC using USB I cannot see many types of files in Windows Explorer. Typically pdf's, and mp3 files, whether on the SD card or in internal memory do not appear in the PC listings even though the parent directory does - the parent directory is shown as having no files. However, I can see and open the files on the tablet and I can see and open the files on the SD card if I take it out of the tablet and plug ito the PC's card reader.
Why do they not show up through the usb connection?
I discovered this because I was trying to transfer a multi-language pdf from the tablet to the PC in order to extract just the English pages by "printing" them to a pdf!
