Peep/twitter

Hey all.

When using PEEP or Twitter app on my Hero... whenever
there is a new tweet, shouldn't the apps update automatically
to show the newest tweet?

I know you can set the apps to update every 1 hour or so
but I just wondered if someone tweets, you would think
it would show up whether or not it was the update time.

Any thoughts?

The twitter/peep app is not like your gmail. Your gmail pushes new emails to your phone; whereas your phone has to pull new tweets from twitter. Twitter does not push to your phone, so you only get automatic updates when your phone performs a sync. Hope that helps.

Try downloading one of the many third party apps like tweetcaster or twicca.

I am a big fan of Touiteur for my Twitter habit. I absolutely love the interface.

The official Twitter for Android app is good as well. It actually just received an update recently that boosts speed and fixes a few bugs.
