People about to do update

I too have a complete understanding of the process and will be glad to post the logs as soon as I have them. Just waiting on VZW....

I am on a completely stock Eris, v. 1.5.
 
Too bad more people aren't out there ready to do this. Kinda bites leaving it up to only 4 or 5 Eris users who are ready to do this.
 
My prompt is creating the text files I want but I cant seem to get it past the " - Waiting for device - " notification in the prompt, and there is never any information in the text file. Has anyone identified the missing link to this process?

Just got a new Eris and I am more than willing to log the url when I get the OTA. Already have it all setup and now I am waiting for the notification.

kill the process and see if it actually wrote something on the txt file.
My desktop does that but it actually works, the txt file gets written with all the info.

I haven't been able to see what's up, but as long as its writing something in the txt file i don't see the big deal of trying to fix it right now.
....still nothing...that is surprising.

EDIT: people on XDA said that having HTC sync installed seems to fix the waiting for device issue, I'll try it and get back to you guys
 
@T2Noob Sorry for the CTRL Z post earlier........brain fart.......definitely CTRL C......and it writes to txt when I do it the same way as Mattius14 is.

As T2 stated, I was getting the "- waiting for device -" before, too. But after I installed the HTC Sync, that disappeared when running a logcat. And a .txt file was created after ending the logcat by pressing ctrl+C.
 
When I try it I get a txt file as well. As soon as I get the OTA, it'll be logged and the txt posted, as long as I'm not taking a final, in which case, I'll do to when I get home tonight. Obviously dependent upon when I get the notification.
