Help People (or Contacts) sort info

Is there a way to sort what phone number shows first in my list of numbers. I have sent numerous text messages to friends houses. I want the default phone number to be a cell number. I have a cell number on just about every contact.

Open up your app drawer and click on the app called "people". (this could also be on your home screen).

Next scroll through your contacts and find the name of the person you want to switch. Select the name. Now you should see at least 2 or more numbers for this contact. Long press on the phone number that you want to be the primary phone number and select "Set as primary number".

If this is not option you wanted, then instead of long pressing on a number, scroll to the bottom of the same screen, and click on "Set default action". Then select the appropriate option.
