Help people who bought the car dock

i know a bunch of u got the car dock even b4 the phone....

i just got it and when i put it in the dock it came up right away....in settings i hit day time just to see what it was...i took out of dock and when i put back in it doesnt come up anymore

i did a factory reset (i was having contact sync issues) and now the dock settings show its back to automatic but when i plug it in nothing happens...car dock does not appear...

is there something else i have to change? thanks
 
There is a dock option in the settings menu. That may allow you to choose actions. Unfortunately, I did not get the car dock as I am holding out for the multimedia instead.
 
yea u cant change the settings unless connected to dock and nothing happens when i connect...i think i have a lemon dock, gonna go back to VZW after work

i still did the factory reset, just to get rid of the verizon set up.


BUT now my dock works too! thank you!
 
Mine doesnt either, I tried pushing uncomfortably hard on it, but no CLICK. So I did a factory reset too, will see what happens.
 
Force it down until you hear a click? Glad you guys aren't doing relationship advice on here!
 
There are apps on the market that will come up automatically if you have bluetooth connected to the phone. I may just use one of those.
 
Hello everyone. First time poster, been browsing for a few months. I bought the car dock as well and mine does not switch to car mode either. Will try the pushing it down til I hear a click...
 
Do any HTC Thunderbolt cases work with the car dock? I would rather not have to take the phone out of the case to put it in the GPS windshield mount.
 
You cannot have a case on the phone and use the Verizon car dock....won't fit. I assume that will be the case with the multimedia dock as well.

But, if enough people nag Seidio, they might! I had the OG droid, and had the Innocase on it, which DOES work with Seidio's desk dock and car dock. That was the best money I've spent on phone gear ever, but I'll tell you it works flawlessly, looks great and I never ever had to take off the case from the phone.

And THAT I loved! So bug Seidio to make docks for the TB that fit their cases!!!
