Root Performance Issues w/2 Apps & CM7

Newbie
Have had my Nook Color running CM7 most of the month and have noticed two performance type issues, each related to a different app. These are issues I did not have with these apps when running the rooted stock OS.

The first relates to the Kindle app. Whenever this app is running in the background the responsiveness of other apps gradually slows to a grinding halt. The Kindle app itself will even fail to re-emerge from the background and lock up the entire system. Anybody else seen this or have an idea on a solution?

The second issue is a memory full notification when I try to open files above ~100KB in Office Suite. It is like CM7 is not giving up memory to Office Suite because I can open the files in other applications like Adobe Reader. Thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

Update: problem with Office Suite seemed to be with PDF files so I have switched to Kingsoft Office which also lets me edit (for free)

More on the my Kindle app issues.

I have reinstalled the app and have run "fix permissions" from ROM Manager twice and still have issues with the Kindle app slowly grabbing all the CPU cycles (at least that what appears to be happening with I look at things in SystemPanel Lite). Two other things I have now noticed: the suggested books "banner" that loads at the bottom of the app's home page doesn't load (just get the loading message and the spinning arrow). And new books are not loading automatically. I can manually pull them from the archive but they are not being pushed like they used to. Thoughts?

Try clearing the cache for the app in settings... apps, otherwise boot into recovery from RM and clear cache and dalvik cache (not data).
