Help Performance issues with 4.3

Hi all,

I'm having an issue with my Note 2 ever since the most recent system update to 4.3. The only improvement I've noticed is that the camera no longer makes the shutter sound when I take a picture. Other than that, I've had nothing but problems. For almost every single menu selection I make, I have to tap twice before the phone responds. (This is only in the home screen, not in any in-app menus.) The same goes for the home button. I typically need to press it twice before it responds. I've had trouble backing out of apps due to this. I've been doing some Googling on the subject, but I'm not coming up with anything; of course, this could also be due to the fact that I'm not phrasing the question correctly. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

1) The "homescreen" is an app called a launcher. There are many launchers in the Play store. See if there's a different one that you like better and that doesn't have the "double tap menu" problem.

2) The Home button can be used to trigger an action if you press it twice, so it has to "wait" to see if you're going to press it again. That causes a slight delay in its action. Press it once and wait a second and see if it doesn't respond.
