Root Perm LCD Density change?

I got the LCD density changer, but it only works on the first reboot. Is there any way to make the change permanent?

As I recall from reading the developers earlier posts awhile back on xda you can change the lcd density by modifying build prop in /system

I looked in the build.prop, but I could not find the lcd density. I found a post on xda that said to edit the line: ro.sf.lcd_density=__. I found nothing with "lcd" in it.

the ro.media files look like they might be the ones to edit, but I am not sure. How should I edit the file? Can you recommend a good file editor? Root explorer is problematic for editing the build.prop..
