Root Perma-root achieved!!

So what exactly is the status of this perm-root for the G2? It seems like this "arrived" over a week ago but when I go to the XDA thread and look at the Unlocker's instructions it seems like people are having nothing but problems with this supposed "perm root solution".
 
I did this method on Saturday and it was fairly painless. Just pay close attention to what you are doing!

I guess I don't understand how you are supposed to go about that when in the same post they say to use Visionary but then also say that it has been pulled. So then what?

Firstly, run VISIONary to gain temp root

I started with this method and then ended up following the steps on Cyanogen's wiki, it provides everything and is straightforward.
