Help Permanent landscape mode

I'm going spare with this one!
If I want the screen permanently in portrait mode I can switch off "Auto rotate screen". Fine. But I want permanent landscape mode. Can anyone help with how that's achieved, please?

A simple search for "lock landscape mode" in Google Play brings up two apps that do what you want. Did you do a search?

Many thanks, and no, I hadn't done a search yet as I was hoping (expecting) that there would be a simple setting in the OS that I didn't know about. Indeed, I'm still hoping someone will point one out, but in the meantime thanks for the tip.

I certainly haven't seen an option in settings for it. I've never heard of anyone wanting permanent landscape mode before now. Hey ho, each to their own.
