Root Persistent Search Bar

Hi, I'm on Cold as Ice currently. Everything works amazingly. The only issue I had was I have very little system memory left (11 mb). BUT ANYWAY, I'm on Go launcher because it allowed me to get a cool app background on the homepage. I made my phone almost exactly how I wanted, but Go Launcher does not have an option for a persistent google search widget. Is there anyway I can simply install it? Or would it be easier to use Nova or Trebuchet and change the home app backgrounds? If so, please help me to do that, I'm not sure how to do that.

Nope. Neither nova or trebuchet allow for app icons to be changed whereas go does, but go can't do the persistent search and both nova and trebuchet can. I don't know what to tell you.

Nova does allow for app icons to be changed. I am using it now.

Quick tut:

Hold the app until it vibrates and a menu will pop up,

Select edit, a new menu will pop up,

Select the icon, a menu will pop up giving you choices,

I selected icon packs, I have ics adw icon pack installed,

Then select what you will use for icon,

Now select ok,

Now you have a custom icon for your app, (the example was the angry birds)

No, I'm not talking about the actual app icon. It's like the background of the app icon. It only shows up on the home screen.

See how the translate icon is still the normal icon, it just has a cool little background.

I'm sure you could find icon packs like that and manually do it like I said.
