Thought it might be handy to mention a few of my favourites that I put on my Archos 70. (I use the geegle marketplace - I think most will not be on the archos store). All are free.
JustPictures. The included image apps seem VERY slow to me! This one is a LOT quicker, particularly when you add a lot of new images.
Tweetdeck. My favourite twitter client. Image previews, auto shorten links, multi column, nice.
Guardian Anywhere. A bit slow to download, but a wonderfully organised downloadable version of the newspaper. You may find it less interesting if your political view is different.
Rockplayer. Video player which covers more formats than the built in ones. Including subtitles / multiple soundtracks in MKV. Still in beeta, but already worth having.
Winamp. Another one in beta. My preffered music player.
Bonsai blast. Entertaining little game, (I assume everyone already has Angry Birds?!)
Anyone got more to add?
I'm still not sure I have the best reader, (looking for something that will handle things like epub, also a good PDF reader with image zoom and text reflow).
Also I don't really like the built in broser, (I've also tried the Dolphon HD one). I love the browser on my HTC desire, which is very good at spottong thing like columns and gently reflowoing text so you don't have to pan around - but I don't know what it is called!
