Too bad about your height fear, but this is a great story and your friendship is really special to be able to maintain that much dedication for 32 years!!!A teacher came from there to our school (dunno how that came about) when I was 10 and she took a list of names who wanted penpals and took them back to the school she was from. Quite a few wrote but stopped, but we carried on writing and its 32 years now. She asked me to be her bridesmaid at her wedding but I am scared of flying and wouldnt make the trip then. It's really weird cos I've felt close to her and when bad things have happened I've felt really hurt and really frustrated I can't be there for her like I would a friend closer.
When we took our holiday in Florida a couple of years ago, she flew down and we spent 3 days together, it was so weird, but we got on really well.
I have to admit that now with email, the letters are few and far between and its mainly catch up via email, but we still keep in touch and have a good old moan if we need to.

No arizona is too hot and its dry heat.. U dnt wanna go there... TX is much better lol least we closr ta water haha
I agree AZ is too hot, but I LOVE dry heat. Not a fan of humidity.
I agree AZ would be a bad vacation spot.
I would love to go to the Grand Canyon and camp at the bottom.Ok so I'm a bit wrong re Arizona....
But I love hot weather, it's not good for my job cos I work with children so it's a nightmare keeping them cool/covered and hydrated, but personally I love the hot weather. I suppose am not a fan of it being humid, when we were in Florida this time it was really humid and it did get a bit too much. I'd like to think if I got the opportunity to live there I'd get used to it, but obviously compared to England, its a big difference walking out of the door in the morning and the heat nearly flooring you - it's generally a downpour that floors you here![]()

When I was in Florida I was talking to a guy who said he lived in New York but came down to Florida down to work, he said he loved New York because he loved the 4 seasons and said he couldnt live in Florida cos of the heat and humidity. But then the driver taking us to the airport said he was originally from New York and he moved to Florida 27 years ago cos he didnt like the cold.
I've never been to New York but would love to go, my husband said I'd love it there because of the shopping, but I think he is scared to take me there for that same reason![]()
Cheerio,
Where do you live now? The one state where high IQers wear magic underwear all around me at the stores, etc...
