Help Personalized Ring on Optimus V

With my old LG phone I was able to specify a ringtone by contact. For example, when my Dad called, it was a different ringtone so I knew it was him. Also I was able to set no ring tone at all (for people I did not want to hear from) I do not see this option on the LG Optimus V. Am I overlooking it?

Yes.

Contacts -> select contact -> menu -> options -> select ringtone

this is not in my phone.

You have an Optimus V?

View all your contacts. Tap on the one you want to change so it is displayed. Hit the menu button. Tap on options (not edit, but options). Ringtone is there, first thing on the screen above "Incoming calls, send calls directly to voicemail".

Thank lizm. That helped. I could not find a silent ringtone, but I was able to say go directly to Voice Mail.
