All of my contacts are on my phone, only. None of them are in Google or SIM. I can assign individual ringtones with no problem, but when the contact calls my phone, the default ringtone plays.
I have searched for a resolution and found plenty of posts, but they all seemed to be about needing to have the contacts on the phone and not Google. But, my contacts are all on my phone and were created there, as well. I do not use Google contacts, and if I tell the phone to display Google contacts to verify this, no contacts are listed.
