Phandroid app features?

I loaded up Phandroid app on my phone today for the first time.

I haven't searched all over for this info, but what I would like to know is how do I make it go straight to this S5 forum when I log in?

Or, how do I make a 'bookmark' in favorites so that I can at least click on a tab and go right to this forum?

And does it have an "unread feature?"

My Motorcycle.com app does. It has a slide screen that I swipe sideways and click on the type of feature I want. A specific forum, or all forums "unread".

What I want is "unread in this sub-forum"

Well, I am not going to worry about Phandroid's cellphone app.

The darn thing ignores all attempts to turn it off when it exits. It keeps running in the background and chews up battery power.

So, it got uninstalled. I don't need it on my phone anyway.

It sucks......
It really is a bad app, which seems crazy being this is phandroid lol
It always runs in the background.
I deleted it when my messages stopped loading and it showed a bank page. I cleared data and cache, did everything and nothing. It wouldn't let me upload photos and when I clicked a link to another forum or topic someone would post it would open my Web browser.
SHAME ON PHANDROID FOR A PEACE OF CRAP THEY CALL AN APP!!

Something seems to be awry with DS's link. This is the Tapatalk based version of the AF app.

As far as it loading itself and residing in memory, that is how Android works and has nothing to do with the AF app. In order to maximize both performance and battery life, Android keeps apps it thinks you will use loaded in memory. The more you use an app, the more likely it will be loaded into memory when you go to use it. If it is already loaded into memory, it will open faster. It actually uses more battery loading and unloading things from memory, and android is going to fill the memory anyway, so anytime you free memory, it will be refilled almost immediately.

As far as seeing a favorite forum, once in the forum you want as a favorite, you can click the meny button (three vertical dots on the top right of the screen) and subscribe to the forum.

Thanks for that bit about TapaTalk. That is the basis for my Goldwing phone app, so I will give that a whirl.

What I was complaining about was everytime I pulled down the Notification Bar, it said "Phandroid is running".

No other app has ever done that on my phone. I trashed it the second I saw that.

Right now there is a Phandroid app (the news division) and an AndroidForums app (the TT based forum app). I haven't had a problem with either but if it says the Phandroid app, that is different than the AF app.:)
