In the Phandroid app settings, it says that the PM updates every 15 minutes. Is this setting only done when you are using the app, or is it always checking?

Also, how do choose a thread prefix when using the app?

I would think that the app checks for PMs every 15 minutes at all times if you select that option. Even if you do not have the app opened.

As for the prefixes, they are unique to the Thunderbolt section of the forum and not available on the app. They were added to the Thunderbolt forum as a test, there is a "Sticky" thread asking for our feedback in regards to using prefixes. Sounds like you guys like them and should probably offer your feedback in that thread.

No, as far as I can see, it sounds like it may be preventing people from starting threads from within the the app in this forum because there's no way you can choose a prefix, which is required. You're right, 'though, either way, it's good feedback for people to post in the sticky poll on prefixes. It looks like this is a bug that is being addressed in a beta that is available to premium members.
