I am trying to figure out where this app came from. It started out of the blue. If I missed a call, a popup would show up saying I had missed a call. It gave me the option of returning the call or ignoring it, or I could block the number. I loved it. Now it stopped popping up. I have No idea where it came from. I dont know if it is in another app I have or what. Does anyone know what I am talking about? I have go launcher and go contacts, but I dont think it came from them. I really want it back:)

If that doesn't look familiar, I'm wondering if you got a malicious app somehow since you don't know where it came from. Do you sideload any apps?

It is not Mr. Number. Yes, I do sideload apps although I am very careful and I do have Lookout installed. I am quite stumped by this. My phone works well otherwise. I have never had this kind of thing happen before. I really liked the app. I will continue to try to figure this out.

Doesnt matter how careful you are, you can get a malicious app even with Lookout installed. That rises exponentially when you get them from a source other than the Play store.

Also an app designed to take information would be very careful to not bring attention to itself by making the phone not work well. The troubling aspect of this is you do not know the app when indicates you, at the very least, don't remember installing it. That begs the question, who, or what, did.

Personally I would do an FDR (factory data reset) and reinstall my known good apps as a precaution and just get Mr Number for the functionality you want.

Yes, you are right, I really dont know where that app came from. I was assuming it was connected to another app I may have updated. This does not seem to be the case. I am going to do a FDR to be on the safe side. Thanks for your help!!

Astrid does this. I think you can find it in the settings of that app.
