Has anyone heard of this, and can anybody help?
My Connect has been locking me out lately. Either the touchscreen itself or something in the software is messed up.
There is a phantom swipe that repeatedly moves from the top center to 1/4 of the way down the screen. I can't do anything because the screen is only reading this swipe. If I leave it turned off for at least 12 hours, I can usually use the screen for a few minutes before it locks again.
I have searched these forums, and the interwebs for a solution for 3 weeks now. I tried everything I found including: factory reset , flashed ZV8, ZV9, ZVA, Broken Out, Black Plague. Nothing worked. I bought a replacement off of Ebay. Put in my SD card, rooted, & set it up the way I like. Next morning: screen locked. I don't know if I got a virus on my SD, or if an app did it. I deleted my SD and wiped it. Tried flashing all ROMs again, no progress.
Took both phones to a Metro corporate store. They've never seen or heard of a touchscreen locking like this. They said they could reflash it. Plug it in, and... They don't have the firmware for it anymore, it's too old of a phone.
