Root Phiremod returns! Phiremod 7.2 has been released for nook.

While everything seems to be great with it - now my "video intensive" apps (Pinball Arcade, Google Earth) aren't working - and they did with CM 7.1. Any suggestions for a setting change or something simple? I already fixed permissions ...

Yep - have backups using ROM Manager Pro - but would much prefer to stick with the 7.2 if possible. I like a lot of the things Phiremod put into it - and everything works fine except those silly games. Odd - Angry Birds works but not Google Earth or Pinball Arcade, or a couple of other graphic based games. Anyway - would hope for a setting change or something simple - or a 7.2.1 ... but if not I'll hold what I have until a stable CM9 comes out. Was also curious if anyone else was having the same problem.
 
Maybe the Mirage or stock 7.2 RC1 builds work better. Have you tried them?

I used to be a fan of Phiremod, but not so much in the last year.
 
I might go with stock 7.2 when it releases stable - but then again there could be a stable 9 when that happens.
I didn't realize Ryan had done much coding in the last year - thought he'd decided to spend it all with family and church. Glad he put his hand back in.
I haven't tried any ROMs except for CM and Phiremod - kinda leery of them but not for any cause.

I'm at work at the moment, but ill look into it as soon as I get home. Afaik Google earth was working on my phiremod 7.2. Ill check it out.

Don't mind colchiro, he's a mirage kang fan boy. LOL joking of course. Or am I? :p
 
Just tried Google Earth and it doesn't work on my NC. I just flashed Phiremod 7.2. Another thing that does not work is my FlexT9 keyboard. I have to use the stock Android keyboard that came w/this ROM.
 
Flashed back to 7.1 and everything works again (Google Earth, Pinball Arcade, et al) - even tried messing with DPI settings but no joy. Be interesting to see if it's fixed when 7.2 stable is released.
 
Glad it helped you.

The free version works great to change the dpi, but if you want the modded market you need the Pro version.
 
Has anyone heard anything more about a stable version of Phiremod 7.2? I loved it but switched to CM last year when it looked like Ph wa wasn't going to have developer support any longer. I'd love to try it out, but don't want to deal with the current glitches.
