Lurker
Hello

I try to put some application from phone memory to SD card ...but thats not possible ...

Can any1 plz tell me some gud software or any method to transfer all my applications to SD card ...

Menu > settings > applications > manage applications

Then select an app that allows moving to SD (not all do) Opera Mini is a good example

Then just click 'move to SD card'

Done

That's ok to a certain extent but it doesn't moove all of the app, and can't be done for all apps anyway (the author has to write the ability into the app when it's created). The best way is to root your phone and then flash a ROM that has A2SD written into it. That way the vast majority of any app is sent straight to your SD card saving you dozens of MB of space (for example, I'm running GingerVillain and have 60 apps on my phone but about 97Mb free space).

For more on rooting and A2SD, search for "DanFrance" and click on the FAQs in his signature. They're mint.

This point is often missed on postings. Rooting or Apps2sd is not a magic bullet if the app has been designed NOT to allow install on SD

Oh, well I'll clarify for you:

Froyo's "Move to SD" and the dirty trick "pm Setinstalllocation" do not work for all apps. Move to SD only works if coded into the app. I believe the PM setinstalllocation may move more than that, but still not everything.

Apps2SD+ (a2SD) doesn't have anything to do with the SD card in the sense of the above. It moves all apps to an EXT partition you create on SD card. It doesn't matter what the developer has coded because this script doesn't move anything to the FAT32 partition as per the previous 2 methods. It does not move app cache (nothing does*) and you have to be rooted to implement it.

It is magic, but it does not shoot bullets.

* OK data2sd moves the entire /data partition to EXT partition, so technically app cache is there.
