Root Phoenix Unleashed 8.0

Hey everyone,

I'm a ROM flashing addict. I've tried all the major ones: Perception, Cognition, Serendipity, Darkyy's, Di11i's, Firefly, Paragon, Ultimate, you name it. Then about a week ago, I decided to try the new Phoenix unleashed. It blew my mind. It looks a lot like Serendipity, but I feel like it's cleaner and more themed. It also fixed the wifi problem that I was having with Serendipity.

Like three days ago, (because of my flashing addiction) I decided to try CM7. I immediately got homesick from Phoenix. I am planning on sticking with this ROM for a long time. This along with the Onix 2.0.5 1000 Hz kernel makes my phone beyond fast.

Sorry if I bothered anyone, just wanted to share this in case anyone was debating between ROMs. I would highly recommend try this one out.

Here's XDA's page for it. Good luck everyone.

I flashed this last night,
Im really just torn on what to stick with having been on serendipity 6.3 - SNL Lime green and now phoenix.

Although im glad i discovered sgs tools with phoenix.

I think im gona stick with SNL for now

I've tried all the ROMs as well and Phoenix works the best for me. Less buggy, decent battery life, GPS works (after fasterfix from SGS tools), etc.

Cognition has taken some steps backward and CM7 just has WAAAAAY too many issues yet. I can't believe they consider it released at this point.

I like to flash different ROMs and I'm itching to change things up, but at this point I'm sticking with Phoenix for awhile until I'm confident I can do better.

I am a first time ROMer, and I went with Paragon RC6. I want to try other ROMs so I may flash Phoenix soon. I do like the stability of Paragon. What is the easiest steps to flash to another ROM? Just move the .zip file to the phone and reboot into recovery?

Backup all your apps with Titanium Backup. Disable the lagfix for the current kernel configuration you're on (disable lagfix, reboot, say yes to the current configuration). I for one don't use Odin unless I am experiencing a problem. So I don't think it's necessary to wipe before you flash a new ROM. Just transfer it to the SD, flash it, use SGS kernel flasher or CWM to flash a new kernel, select a modem if you desire, and you're ready.

I have now switched to phoenix 8.0 for daily use.

One question for anyone else thats using this rom
is there a zip file to apply colored settings?
