Root Phone alternative

Folks - I've been generally delighted with the changes since I took my stock desire through the rooting process and installed the OxyZM 1.2 ROM. But one thing I really don't like is the change in software when making calls on the phone. The Sense UI phone was excellent, and I would like to try something different. To what extent is the phone software tied in to OxyZM? What else could I try?

One problem in particular is that calling an entry in the contact list seems to prefix extra numbers to the phone number, causing the call to fail. Almost seems like a duplicate phone number tacked on the front of the correct number - it's not just a country code.

Any suggestions?

Sorry to answer my own post. Just discovered that the key word here is 'dialler' - or dialer, depending on where you come from. So I'm trying the 'Go' offering, which I like. Anyone got any opinions as to which ones are worth a look? There seem to be thousands...

I use Go Dialer with Go Contacts as well, works quite well
