Phone as a wifi adapter?

Hey, I have a HTC Thunderbolt 4g with verizon. Recently my network adapter went out in my laptop and i was wondering if it was possible to use my phone as my laptops network adaptor to connect to my homes wifi without using my verizon data plan???

It should be possible, however, you posted in the wrong forum.....You need to get help in the HTC Thunderbolt forum..... This is the forum for the "Samsung Galaxy Prevail M820" !!!

does anyone know the steps i would take to make it possible? im unrooted and would like to stay that way because 1 idk how to root. and 2 it will cost me money to get it done and if i need to take advantage of my warranty ill have to pay to unroot costing me double... any help would be much appreciated.
