Help phone boots into recovery randomly and says polling?

The phone is my mothers and completely stock. I guess randomly it will go into recovery mode and say something about "polling" and "updates" I have to get my hands on the phone later on today. Im not too familiar with the Triumphs but is this a common issue?

It is a common issue in that when the user turns the phone on, they are accidentally pressing the down volume button at the same time.

This causes the phone to go into a special mode for accessing the 'image' directory on the phone.

Not really an issue per se, just needs to be more careful when pressing the power button.

Ahh really okay im sure thats whats happening then. Thanks alot and im not on the up and up with triumphs are there any good updates for them? Not really looking to root/rom because its not mine.

No updates from VM or Motorola. Lots of custom roms here. The phone is unbrickable and custom roms make the phone multiple times better.
