Well the micro USB port to my s4 burned and melted I just had it charging at night and woke up to my friend calling me if it wasn't for him who would know what would of happened. My question is can I replace the port or is the phone completely messed up and if I can replace it where can I get the parts. Thanks

I know a guy who works at 7-11 who's having problems with his USB port but it didn't melt like you say it did....wonder wtf is going on....

not sure if you can replace just that part...im sure it's possible but there could be a hardware problem causing it to get really hot...might be worth to replace the phone....when I got my new s4 from AT&T...I had it sitting on my motorcycle in my bag, and my friend wanted to sit on it so i yanked my bag off, and boom....12 hour old S4 hits the ground and chips the corner.....i got on AT&T chat that night and said my new s4 came damaged and I received a brand new S4 2 days later free of charge of course sending the old one back...the moral of the story is that...it's quite easy to replace a phone without paying :)

Here's the thing I've had the phone for over a year and they don't want to give Me a new one unless I pay like 250 I don't have that money right now so I decided to try and fix it since the micro USB is only 10 dollars I just want to be 100% sure I can fix it.

Unless you have plenty of experience of working on devices like modern smartphones or tablets (and, let's face it, you wouldn't be asking this question if you had), you should think long and hard before attempting something like this.

Modern smartphones are very difficult to take apart and reassemble. I have been taking electrical and electronic devices apart for 40 years and have almost always been successful at fixing things that were fixable. My recent experiences of fixing an iPad and an iPod has led me to decide that I shan't be trying anything like this again.

Unless you are prepared to run the very real risk of completely destroying your phone, you would be well advised to pay someone else to do this for you.
