Help Phone calls-no priority over apps.help please

Hi I have an LG optimus S and recently my phone calls don't ring in when I'm using the youtube or tunein radio apps.they used to.is there a setting I'm overlooking or an app I can get to adjust the priority of calls over apps? I recently got the 670 update that ruined the wifi ride. Thanks
