Help Phone Can't Find My Wi-fi

[QUOTE="taggs, post: 7204756, member: 1921through had the same problem. I also tried resetting the router, manually entering the wifi, disabling and enabling SSID broadcast etc. Called tech support and they tried various "fixes" for an hour or so. Finally one tech support person came up with the solution that's working for me - it seems that Android has problems with the 1st and last channel and I had it on auto for the channel selection. So sometimes it worked (when the channel wasn't 1 or 13) and sometimes it didn't. We set the router to a channel other than 1 or 13 and it's been working great ever since.[/

Can you give me a quick walk through on changing the channel for the router Ithink its the same issue you had...and iI'vetried all the other ppossible ssolutions

Each router may be slightly different but the features will be similar. First log into your router (Id & password should be included with router). Go to WIRELESS, then ADVANCED; then CHANNEL. Typically the default would "auto" - change this to a channel other than the first or last - I chose 8 and it has worked fine ever since.

I have same problem with my Tablet, it could not see my wifi but other wifi from my neighbor is visible. I just want to share this maybe this will help, Log in to my wifi webserver http://192.168.1.1, enter your username and password. Then set the channel Auto by going to NETWORK, Frequency Channel set to AutoSelect. After the settings TURN on the WPS button on your router and in your tablet turn on "Search Button" which has symbol of Two arrows pointing in opposite directions. Wait until it found your wifi then press OK. That's it!

Thank you Taggs, you solved my problem. I had an old htc evo from the US and I couldn't use it in Europe (i just wanted to use with WiFi). It was good at my work place but not at home. But after I've read your comment, I changed my router's WiFi settings from auto channel to fixed channel (6), and it worked!!! :D Thanks!
